Timber Decking Options

Timber decking offers a warm natural feel to any property or work place. We supply and fit both hardwood and softwood decking boards. We can recommend, design and install the most suitable timber decking to fit your park style, surroundings, preference and budget.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HARDWOOD & SOFTWOOD TIMBER

The naming is so misleading because it in no way reflects the hardness of the timber. Balsa wood is actually a hardwood! A more realistic distinction is that softwood comes from evergreen trees and hardwood comes from deciduous trees. The hardwood/softwood moniker refers to whether the seeds dropped by the tree have a hard outer covering or not. Generally the seeds of evergreens (gymnosperms) do not.

European Redwood

Our superior quality pre-treated European Redwood deck boards are beautiful in appearance and dense, due to the very slow rate that the tree grows and being treated with Tanalith E, they are highly durable - even in British weather.

Most decking boards are supplied in three thicknesses: 19mm, 21mm and 28mm. We use 38mm Grade 1 boards that ensures we provide a more sturdy and resilient deck.
